Here we have the Tacwise 140 Series ‘slap’ Hammer Tacker that drives staples in leg lengths between 6mm and 12mm. Tools like this one can also be referred to as slap hammers, tackers and this model is particular is also known as the Tacwise A54. This A54 is ideal for securing roofing felt and sheeting, along with fixing breathable membrane amongst others. The slightly bigger shoe plate on this tool helps to even the pressure of the contact out, which is of particular use to roofing applications. Hammer tackers are particularly great for when rapid and constant stapling is needed as there is no trigger action needed and therefore repetitive strain can be avoided.
