Internal Designers Top Trends For 2018

Nothing is as exciting as the start of a new year and all of the exciting home interior and internal designer trends that will be big in 2018.
With a full year ahead of us, anything could become the next big thing, or the next biggest trend and designers are encouraged to hunt out the trends that they like and that they want to make stand out throughout this year, but to give you a little bit of inspiration, here are a of the top trends that we predict for internal designers in 2018.
Exposed Lightbulbs
Edison and exposed filament light bulbs have been big over the past couple of years and they don’t show any sign of stopping. Bare bulbs without shades will still be popular, however fun minimalist covers which still show exposed bulbs will begin to make an appearance too.
Cork
Natural, spongy and warming, cork is a great material for floors, cabinet doors and walls and will be a nice addition to the 2018 interior landscape. If you aren’t ready to embrace cork walls or flooring, try cork accessories or even a cork board to keep on trend.
Pastels
Neutral greys and beiges will be replaced by pastel colours such as millennial pink, rose quartz and serenity blue. Items which were traditionally neutral will now be a pastel shade which will bring a bit of colour to interiors over the coming months.
Black is back
Black metal will be the next big trend. Say goodbye to rose gold and copper, and say hello to black metal lampshades, cutlery, window frames and kitchen fittings.
Textured wallpaper
Wallpaper is back and it’s more interesting than ever! Textured wallpaper and wallpaper with bright accents will be more prevalent in 2018. Save these for feature walls and making a big statement in what would normally be small, boring spaces.
