Where are Makita tools made?

Makita is a Japanese manufacturer of power tools. Known by many and judged as a trusted brand for making quality power tools. They operate factories in Brazil, China, Japan, Mexico, Romania, the United Kingdom, Germany, Dubai, Thailand and the United States.

Makita’s beginnings were in 1958, when the Makita Corporation which was founded in 1915 initially as an electric motor sales and repair company, Makita became the first company in Japan to manufacture and sell portable electric planers. April 1969, they introduced the 6500D battery-powered drill (the first rechargeable power tool).
