Galvanised & Hot Dipped Clout Roofing Nails (19-45mm)
Galvanised & Hot Dipped Clout Roofing Nails (19-45mm)
Conical Galvanised & Hot Dipped Galvanised Clout Coil Nails (19-45mm), typically used for roofing due to the larger heads.
MyToolkit are proud to provide our customers with a range of collated clout roofing nails. These are flat-top wire-collated coil nails that when wound together look like a domed ring, but don't get them mistaken with the 'usual' conical coil nails! The key difference here is the head of the Clout nail. Being 3mm in diameter, they're some what larger than your typical coil nail making them perfect for roofing applications.
The large head means that once embedded, the hole in which the nail sits is covered by a greater surface area at the top (the head), resultantly reducing the chance of anything leaking through. Quite ideal as the fundamental job of a roof is to protect you and your home from the elements after all. If you want specifics, the shorter end of these nails are intended for use with felt and asphalt board, while the longer clout nails would be ideal for nailing to board and drywall.
These nails are available in two finishes, standard galvanised (Service Class 2 of the Eurocode 5 Guidance) and Hot-Dipped Galvanised (Service Class 3). Although conforming to Service Class 2, we'd always recommend only using galvanised fasteners on internal projects due to their minimal level of protection against corrosion. We would therefore suggest you use our Hot-Dipped Galvanised Clout Nails for all external roofing applications.
If you have any questions about this these roofing clout nails, or any other products on our site for that matter, feel free to drop us a message. Or if you want an instant response, give us a call on 0333 8000 345 - someone is available in the office every weekday from 8:30am until 5pm.
